Onōmilu Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is dedicated to the revitalization of the Nōmilu, managing this "mini-ahupua‘a" as a productive food source and a sanctuary for native species. By blending traditional Hawaiian wisdom with modern scientific practices, the Foundation supports sustainable aquaculture and agriculture while protecting the area’s unique ecological heritage. As a living laboratory, Onōmilu provides place-based STEM education and cultural programming, fostering a new generation of stewards through workforce development in marine science, conservation, and cultural preservation.
